Woolyknit now supply hand knitting yarns and fibres in our range.Woolyknit are a British manufacturing company ,we are very passionate about our roots and with over 25 years experience in the wool industry our knowledge is irreplaceable. All Woolyknit products are not only manufactured within Britain, all the raw materials used within the products are sourced from Britain using British wool grown on the fells and downs of rural Britain. Our retail / online business has been born from the demand for a better, more affordable product with a traditional style, than can be sourced from main stream suppliers who have a propensity to source from the third world. By ensuring that Woolyknit products are manufactured using British wool and made from yarn which is spun on a worsted spinning system we are able to use wool fibres that are significantly longer (average of 80 mm) which ensures that your product will have a very low pill effect (balling up) this gives us a significantly more durable garment than products that are sourced from the far east, which are manufactured using much shorter fibres. By using British wool Woolyknit are enabling you to purchase a product that is purely natural and from a renewable source. Wool is the original insulator giving you a garment that will be durable, stylish and warm. If taken care of it will give you years of reliable service and comfort. |
