Whether you’re looking for a project to do this weekend to celebrate valentine’s day, or have completely forgotten to buy a gift and are in desperate need of some DIY inspiration, we’ve got you covered. This week we’re bringing you the easiest crochet valentine’s heart pattern you’ll find. For this project, we used our 50g aran British Wool balls in the shade Pink but if you’re looking to make a bigger valentine’s project out of aran weight British Wool, take a look at our brand new aran cone range.
This tutorial includes 2 heart sizes and is a really quick and easy project to make for a significant other or friend that you’re missing during lockdown. This is a great project if you’re a beginner crocheter and looking for a simple pattern to get started with. If you want a few tips before you get started, take a look at our blog post filled with our top tips for beginner crocheters.
Materials & tools
Aran British Wool | 4.5mm crochet hook | Scissors | Stitch marker | Large eye darning needle | Stuffing (or yarn scraps)
For this pattern, you’ll start by making 2 ‘cups’ for the top of the heart and then join them together using simple single crochet stitches. Once joined together, you’ll slowly decrease down to form the pointed shape of a heart.
