Video: Making Spare Heddles For Your Loom

Weaving is an art that can seem rather daunting and complex to a beginner, so to get you started, Kate and Annie have put together a series of video guides to help demystify the world of loom weaving.

If you’re unfamiliar with the term ‘heddle’, simply put, it’s a series of strings that separate and guide the warp threads.

In this video, Kate shows us how to make spare and replacement heddles for any loom that uses string/texsol/metal heddles. Kate demonstrates 2 techniques, using a heddle jig and on the loom.

This video is intended as an aid to remembering the steps, not as a tutorial.
