On September 29 and 30, we are celebrating all things wooly and wonderful at this year’s Yarndale creative festival in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Now in its sixth year, Yarndale is a must-visit event for yarn and craft enthusiasts. More than 8,000 visitors are expected, making it a hot-spot for all things wooly.
Held at Skipton Auction Mart, Yarndale promises fun activities for all the family. There will be an exciting mix of exhibitions, demonstrations and more yarn that you can lay your hands on! Whether your passion is knitting, crochet, spinning, dyeing or felting, this crafty festival in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales town of Skipton has something for you.
Skipton, meaning ‘sheep town’, and the surrounding countryside, villages and towns have a long history of wool, textiles, design and crafts. The nearby city of Bradford became the wool capital of the world and today the area remains an important wool and textiles centre.
With the weather turning colder, we’re expecting to see lots of warm and wooly goods for the autumn and winter season. Are you preparing for winter by knitting a scarf or crocheting some cosy gloves? We’ve got the perfect yarn for you.
Will you be visiting Yarndale this year? Make sure to come and say hello. We will be soaking up the creative atmosphere and drawing inspiration from all of the amazing workshops on offer.
We will be exhibiting both days, Saturday and Sunday, at Skipton with a fantastic range of yarns and products for sale. See you there, we can’t wait!
What are you crafting at the moment? Tag us in your projects because we love to see what you’re up to!
